Abstract: The establishment of minimum retroreflectivity levels for traffic signs will require many agencies to increase their understanding of retroreflectivity science in order to better manage their sign system and comply with minimum retroreflectivity levels. This is especially true for local transportation agencies. In this project, TTI will develop a "train-the-trainer" workshop for Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) staff. The course will address basic retroreflectivity science, retroreflective material issues, and options for meeting minimum retroreflectivity guidelines. Individuals that participate in the workshop will be provided with course information so that they can teach retroreflectivity issues to agency personnel in their home states.
